Imtech delivers technical installations for innovative Revapolis healthcare campus in Zandhoven

Construction of the innovative Revapolis healthcare campus in Zandhoven has officially started. As a construction team partner, Imtech is working alongside Cordeel and Hooyberghs on this unique, intergenerational project focused on care, rehabilitation and recovery. The symbolic groundbreaking ceremony took place this week in the presence of Caroline Gennez, Flemish Minister of Welfare.

A new standard for healthcare infrastructure

Revapolis is being developed on behalf of Revalidatiecentrum Pulderbos, Zorgverblijf Hooidonk, Limmerik and Viaplus. The design is by archipelago architects en POLO.platform.

The new campus, located in a green and quiet setting in Zandhoven, is scheduled to be fully operational by mid-2028.

The project aims to become a leading centre of expertise where high-quality care and knowledge come together.

Technical backbone for modern healthcare

For a healthcare campus of this scale, reliable and future-oriented technologies are essential. Imtech plays a key role by delivering an integrated technical infrastructure that ensures comfort, safety and efficiency.

  • Electrical and digital installations: complete electrical installation, management system, fire detection, nurse call system, data and telecommunications, backup generator and access control
  • HVAC and energy: heating and cooling via ATES system and heat pumps, underfloor heating/cooling and air handling systems with heat recovery, including applications for the industrial kitchen
  • Sanitary and water management: hot water production via heat pumps, drinking water systems with pressure regulation, fire water systems and rainwater recovery
  • Medical gases: central storage and distribution of oxygen, compressed air and vacuum, compressors and air quality monitoring

Ready for the future of healthcare

With this comprehensive set of technologies, Imtech is building a strong technical foundation for Revapolis. The installations not only support continuity of energy and operations, but also enable fast communication between caregivers and patients, maximum safety and high-performance data infrastructure.

Strong collaboration within Cordeel Group

Revapolis once again demonstrates the strong collaboration within Cordeel Group, with synergies further strengthened in large-scale projects.

By aligning construction and technical systems from the design phase onwards, the construction team ensures efficient execution, short communication lines and high build quality — an integrated approach that is essential for an ambitious project such as Revapolis.
